EDELRID, Hire Me: Technical Writer for Climbing and PPE

Renat Bikulov technical writer specializing in climbing equipment PPE and rope systems
If EDELRID ever needs someone who can turn rope mechanics, PPE standards, certification tests, and climbing physics into clear technical content — here I am.

I am a technical writer and editor specializing in climbing equipment, rope systems, PPE, standards and vertical safety. And EDELRID is one of the very few companies I would deliberately target rather than simply wait for a vacancy.

Why?

Because EDELRID does more than manufacture equipment. You investigate how it behaves, explain what testing can and cannot prove, and make manufacturer knowledge publicly useful.

I used and liked GEAR PILOT — and was genuinely sorry to see it disappear. I have watched every video on the EDELRID Knowledge Base YouTube channel. For years, I have also used EDELRID’s articles, diagrams, test results and standards documents in my own research.

So this is not fan mail. It is a proposal.

What I Could Do for EDELRID

I could help EDELRID:

  • research, write and edit Knowledge Base articles and video scripts;
  • turn laboratory tests, standards and product-development findings into clear explanations;
  • create manuals, infographics, training materials and inspection guidance;
  • identify missing subjects and develop them into coherent content series;
  • audit existing materials for accuracy, structure, SEO, cross-linking and updates;
  • connect knowledge across Sport, Professional, and Academy into a more unified system;
  • help create whatever useful digital knowledge tool should come after GEAR PILOT.

I am not offering generic outdoor copywriting.

I can take a difficult technical question, find and evaluate the available evidence, speak with subject experts, understand the equipment and produce something that remains useful after the product campaign ends.

You do not have to take my word for it. Judge the work:

My broader portfolio, experience and services are here.

Freelance, Remote — or Isny

We could begin with one article, one research problem or one neglected section of the Knowledge Base.

I am open to project work, a long-term freelance partnership, an embedded remote role or relocation to Isny. I work in English and Russian, speak Spanish, and am ready to learn German to the level the role requires.

Give me a complicated subject, a pile of source documents and an expert who has valuable knowledge but no time to write it down.

Let us see what we can build.
